Kędzierzyn-Koźle pamięta o Janie Pawle II

W rocznicę jego śmierci mieszkańcy oddali hołd papieżowi Polakowi. Tradycyjnie zrobili to na sportowo. W naszym mieście odbyły się sztafeta pływacka, bieg uliczny oraz marsz.
Uczestnicy marszu przeszli główną arterią miasta w stronę pomnika Jana Pawła II, gdzie złożyli kwiaty i zapalili znicze. W tłumie znalazło się wielu zawodników, którzy chwilę później stanęli na starcie biegu ulicznego poświęconemu Karolowi Wojtyle.
