We attach great importance to sports and recreation. The city is most of all in love with volleyball. Our volleyball club ZAKSA will take you to the world of sport emotions and unusual feelings. The team practices and plays their matches in the sports and entertainment arena AZOTY, which is an amazing treasure among the sports facilities in the Opole region. The parameters and technical equipment of the arena constitutes a professional background for organization of sports competitions and cultural events at a world-class level. Independent of the season, we are trying to have sport become an important aspect of life of the people of the city. We have also at our disposal sports stadiums open throughout the year (including track and field), the Orlik football pitches and also a recreation and sports zone as well as playgrounds for the youngest. The active can make use also of the indoor swimming pool, and open air pool, saunas, gyms, bowling clubs or kayak harbours on the Oder River and of the bicycle and running paths which are very popular among young and adults alike. Everyone, regardless of age, can find something for themselves.
